Purpose of Use and Application Method:
Granular chlorine is used as a long-acting disinfectant in pool water. It has a killing and controlling effect on microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, mold and yeast.
Before the application, the chlorine and pH of the pool water are measured. The pH value should be 7.2-7.6. The amount of bound chlorine should not exceed 0.2 ppm.   
Free chlorine value in pool water should be in the range of 1-3 ppm.
If the pH is not suitable, the pH of the water is adjusted with pH regulators. Then the required chlorine is added from different points of the pool.
In liner and plastic pools, it should be added to the water in equal proportions and slowly. The best practice is to do it in the evening when the pool is not in use. The pool circulation system must be in working condition. The pH value and the amount of active chlorine must be checked every day.
